How Does a Radiator Installation Work?

Our radiator installations are performed by our team of Gas-safe central heating engineers that are trained to perform on the job safely and ensure that your central heating is safe to use once the job is completed. They follow best practices at all times to guarantee quality workmanship and to put you at peace of mind.

Home Visit

A member of our team will visit your property to take a look at your radiators and central heating system. During this process, they will take a look at your pipework and setup of your central heating system to identify the scale of the work required and plan best practices for the installation.

 

Once they have completed the visit and you’re happy, they will provide you with an accurate quote and we will be able to become an installation date at the earliest convenience for you.

Radiator Replacement/Installation

Our engineers will visit your property with your radiator units, ready to perform a replacement or brand-new installation. Depending on the scale of the work, it can take our engineers hours or up to 2-5 days to complete an installation or replacement job.

 

Work that requires more pipework to your central heating system can be more complex and take longer to get the job done properly, and most importantly safely.

Testing & Inspections

Once your radiators have been fitted, our engineers will perform a series of tests and visual inspections to make sure your radiators and central heating system are working as they should be. They will look at the pressure level of your radiator and central heating system, check the temperature of your radiator and test for leaks.

How long does a radiator installation take?

A straight radiator replacement can take 3-4 hours to complete which can be completed on the same day. However, replacing a radiator with a different radiator type or brand new installations can require more pipework and take engineers longer to complete the job properly.

During your home visit, an engineer will provide an accurate timeline of a radiator installation.

Can I install a new radiator installation in a new location of my property?

Yes, you can install a radiator in a new location of your property but it will require rerouting pipework which can be complex and incur additional costs.

How often should I replace my radiators?

Typically, it’s recommended to replace your radiators every 15-20 years. This is just a rule of thumb, and you should look for signs that your radiator isn’t running efficiently and requires a replacement installed.
